Allergen Information

General guidance for customers with food allergies or intolerances shopping at Super Indian Grocery.

Last updated: September 2026
Always check the product packaging for the most current ingredient and allergen information.

Ingredient and Allergen Changes

Ingredient formulations and allergen declarations can change between production batches, even for a product you have purchased from us many times before. Manufacturers may reformulate recipes, change suppliers, or update their labelling without notice. For this reason, please always check the packaging at the time of purchase rather than relying on a previous visit, memory, or any general information provided on this website.

Common Allergens

Grocery products, including imported and speciality items, may contain or come into contact with a range of common allergens. These can include, but are not limited to:

  • Peanuts
  • Tree nuts
  • Milk and dairy products
  • Gluten and wheat
  • Soy
  • Sesame

This list is provided as general guidance only and is not specific to any product sold in-store. It does not indicate that any particular product does or does not contain any of these allergens.

Reading Product Labels

If you have a food allergy or intolerance, we strongly encourage you to carefully read the ingredient list and allergen statement on every product label, every time you shop, even for products you have bought before. If you are ever unsure about a product's ingredients or allergen status, we recommend contacting the product manufacturer directly, as they will have the most accurate and current information about their product.

Cross-Contact and Cross-Contamination

As with any grocery store, products at Super Indian Grocery may be stored, handled or displayed in shared areas, which can carry a risk of cross-contact between different food items. We are not able to guarantee that any product is entirely free from trace amounts of other allergens. If cross-contamination is a concern for you, please check with our staff in-store or with the relevant product manufacturer.

Speak With Our Staff

If you or someone you are shopping for has a severe food allergy, we encourage you to speak with our staff in person when you visit the store so they can assist you where possible. You can also call or WhatsApp us on +61 425 613 086, or send a message through our Contact page.
